Combo For Your Curled-Up-Real-Nice Eyelash

I'm a big fan of a curled up eyelash. If you're just like me, then I really have to introduce these two products for you. They're highly recommended by me.

**
TALIKA Eyelash Curler
No matter how a mascara advertised as giving you a beautiful curled eyelash (and sometimes with convincing pictures), the first step to a beautiful curled eyelash is a good eyelash curler. I've tried a lot of eyelash curler before, but none of them could give me a beautiful curled eyelash like my TALIKA eyelash curler.

Have you ever heard tips to have a long lasting curled eyelash is to heat your eyelash curler with a hair dryer first? Well, save your time because TALIKA is an eyelash curler with heater. And that's what I love about this curler.

For this eyelash curler, since it has heater, you'll need two triple A(AAA) batteries. It is recommended for you to remove the batteries from the place when you're not using it, so the batteries will last longer. Well, I'm just too lazy to do that.

Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus
Next step to have a long lasting curled eyelash is in the mascara. Mascara with thick and heavy consistency tends to weigh your lash and make the curl disappear.

So, introducing Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus. This is a lash expander mascara, so obviously it has lengthening effect. But I love how light the consistency of this mascara that it won't weigh you lash. That way, your curl will stay for hours (I wanna say for a day but I haven't tried it that long). Believe me, I've tried. So I applied it at 9 a.m, got back at home at 11 pm with my lashes still curled.

This mascara has a two sided wand, the flat side and the curvy side. First step is to apply the mascara using the flat side and apply second layer using the curvy part. For lower lash line, just use the curvy part of the wand to apply the mascara.

Be sure to apply this mascara in steady motion, don't apply it too light otherwise the fibers wont stick to you lashes. Next thing you know, the fibers will fall on your face and leave black spots all over. Careful.

Another complain that I heard about this mascara, some people said this mascara is hard to remove. Well, I use my Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil and I have no problem with removing this mascara at all.

So, there you go, two products that will help you get beautiful long lasting curled eyelashes. Hope that helps.

My First NARS Blush.. and It's Torrid!

Yay.. finally got my Torrid. The color is described as coral with shimmer and it's so beautiful. I think it suits a wide range of skin tone.

And here's the swatch on my cheek.

The left picture is Torrid applied lighthandedly and the right one is applied kinda harshly (excuse the oily face, I took this pic after hours of activity)

Another blushes are coming, soon, I hope. And the next batch would be Super Orgasm, Outlaw and Taj Mahal (all in warm colors). Hopefully those blushes will arrived on May or, worst case scenario, early June. There's no NARS here in Jakarta, d'uh, like usual. So I have to order it online.

Update: I'm sorry, I forgot to mention that I bought this blush from pinkymiki. The lady was so nice, she delivered the blush by herself so I got free shipping. And by the way, this online store still got some NARS blushes and lipsticks in ready stock. Happy shopping, ladies!

My Neutral Look

Finally got my camera back! Yippie!

So, it was my aunt and uncle's birthday yesterday (my uncle's was actually two days ago but they celebrated it together). And this was my FOTD. Trying not to break the "Never-Ever-Matched-Your-Eye-Makeup-With-Your-Outfit" rule, I used neutral colors to compliment the outfit.

Here's the dress. I bought it in bYSi Singapore like two years ago and this is the first time I wore it. Duh?!

What I used
Face:
  • MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC37
  • Mac Studio Fix in NC40
  • Revlon Colorstay Concealer in Medium
  • Inez Eyeshadow palette in Venice 05 for shading
  • PAC Shimmering Powder for highlighting
  • Revlon Sheer Powder Blush in Peachy Keen

Eyes:
  • UDPP
  • La Tulipe Palette (don't remember the number)
  • Inez Eyeshadow palette in Venice 05
  • Revlon Eyeshadow Duo Marble-ous Match in Made for Jade
  • Bourjois Liner Stylo Eyeliner in 41 Noir
  • Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus
Look what my MM Lash Expander Frame Plus did to my lashies!!

Lips:
  • Revlon Renewist Lip Color in Creamy Caramel
  • Revlon Creme de la Chrome in Gilt Complex
I'm thinking about making a tutorial for this look, but somehow I can't find my La Tulipe palette that I used for this look. Perhaps I left it in my house. Ugh..

Fashionese Daily Forum: an addictive fun!

Ugh.. I feel so guilty abandoning this blog for so long..

Well, anyway, I finally joined Fashionese Daily Forum. It's actually a fashion and beauty forum where you can discuss anything about makeup and fashion. And it seems like this forum has every answers for every beauty makeup questions, whether it's a "what is" question or a "how to" question.

From this forum, I learned a lot about various makeup products and brands, even brands that I can't find here in Indonesia, learned a lot of makeup tricks, got a lot of makeup reviews and the most important thing is this forum forum has a sub-forum labeled Market Plaza. I'm sure you can guess what's that sub-forum for, based on it's name. Ow yeah baby.. It's a place where some sellers sell fashion and beauty items!! And I'm not excited for no reason since they sell makeup brands such as Stila, Nars, Cargo, even Laura Mercier, those brands that you can't find in my country, you can order it from here. That is a very good news and also a very bad effect for my wallet *sigh*

Now I'm in the middle of Stila and NARS pre order. I ordered Stila Convertible Color in Gerbera and Lilium. The seller already got the one in Gerbera. And as for NARS, I still can't decide what to order. I mean I will obviously order their blush, but I still can't decide which shade. I already set my eyes on Torrid and thinking about choosing one more shade. Ooh.. I'm so excited!

Well, anyway, if you love discussing about fashion and/or beauty, I really recommend you to join this forum.

April Update

It's been a while since my last post. This is just an update about what happened lately:
  1. I got my first subscriber in my youtube channel! Haha.. just when I thought no one is watching that channel. Thank you, batgas23. Oh, by the way, this is my youtube channel. I wasn't thinking about doing a makeup tutorial back then, so I just picked whatever name that comes into my mind.
  2. My friend went to London last week and I asked her if she could help me to buy Urban Decay Primer Potion, and I'll pay her the money once she got it. She said she didn't mind at all. And in the end she gave the UDPP for me as a birthday present! Yippie!! I love you so much Retno! Mwah mwah mwah!!
  3. My parents are going to Israel for Easter tour, and my dad brings my camera with him. He said my camera is more practical than his. So I'm not going to be able to post any pictures or tutorials until next week. But the good news is, a lot of tutorials are coming!
  4. My STILA single eyeshadow Kitten that I ordered online from FTL's Wardrobe, finally arrived! The color is really beautiful and shimmery, me likey! Plus, they gave me an e.l.f' Candy Shop Lipgloss in Berry Pop as a bonus! Oh.. me so happy!
  5. Another stuff that I ordered online finally arrived, that is my Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus! I bought this form glittercosme.
So.. I think that's all for now.
