Neutral Pink

Okay, I have no idea what to name this FOTD. It's been a while since my last FOTD, I guess. I was having a family gathering last weekend and looking for not-so-over-the-top look. So I picked pink color for the 'theme' and neutral brownish colors on my eyes to avoid that boring monochromatic look.

FOTD
  • Smashbox Photo Finish
  • Mac Studio Fix Fluid in NC37
  • Fyrinnae Powder Primer
  • MAC Studio Fix in NC40
  • NARS Super Orgasm
  • Guerlain Meteorites Illuminating Pressed Powder in Rose Frais
By the way, I forgot to put on my concealer. I was at my grandma's house that weekend. It was awfully hot and by the end of the night, my undereye area looked horrible. It appeared darker that it actually is. Seriously, I'll never forget my concealer ever again!

Another stupid thing I did, I left my Talika eyelash curler in my apartment. I didn't curl my lashes.. so why even bother applying mascara on my super straight lashes?!

But on the other side, the rest of my face stayed flawless and oil free, thanks to my new found love, Fyrinnae Powder Primer. Keeps oils away and my makeup stayed matte for the rest of the night. Yippie!

EOTD
  • UDPP
  • Stila Kitten Shadow
  • La Tulipe Quad Eyeshadow no.o3
  • Inez Quad Eyeshadow Palette in Venic Palette
  • MUFE Aqua Eyes in 1L
  • Lancome Liner Design in Noir Sensuel

LOTD
  • Benefit Full Finish Lipstick in Lady's Choice
  • Guerlain Kiss Kiss Gloss no.821

and I'm ready to go...

Holiday Haul

So here's my holiday haul. I went to Sephora at Champs-Élysées, Paris. It's the largest Sephora and has the most complete makeup brands. Unlike Sephora in Italy or Spain, Sephora in Paris has Stila, Smashbox, Urban Decay, NARS and even MAC and Bobbi Brown (You can't find the last two at Sephora Lafayette). While regular brands you'll find in every Sephoras are Too Faced, Benefit, Sephora brands (of course) and some high end brands.

Anyway, I entered Sephora, hoping I could haul as much as I want only to found out how expensive makeups in Europe are. I walked in to NARS section and saw NARS powder blush for 29euro (couldn't find euro sign in my keyboard, d'oh!)!! And Stila Convertible Color for 23euro, Smashbox Photo Finish for 39euro. I could go on and on but the point is, they're so expensive. But I still bought some, mostly Benefit. And if you see high end brands such as Lancome and Dior, I bought it on discount price or Duty Free. And even the after-discount price equals normal price if I convert it to Rupiah!

For all over face area

Smashbox Photo Finish
Lancome Color Ideal Hydra Compact
Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Fresh Powder Makeup in Dark Beige
JPG Madame Electric GLamour Palette (I don't understand why the named it palette when it's actually a highlighter)

For around my eyes

Make Up for Traveling

Finally back to my blog...

I just got back from my holiday. Me, my mom and my little sister, we went together to Europe. And it was fun! I don't usually bring my makeup while traveling. But I changed my mind this holiday :D
So, what do you have inside your makeup pouch while traveling? Here's mine:

My tiny makeup pouch that keeps everything and my brushes.

Foundation - Revlon Beyond Natural

Sheer coverage and, of course, natural finish. It's my daily foundation so no wonder I brought it for traveling.

Powder - MAC Studio Fix

Really easy to apply and it last for the whole day

Concealer - Revlon Colorstay Blemish Concealer
I have severe under eye circles so concealer is a must plus this concealer has a very practical packaging so it helps a lot

Highlighter - PAC Shimmering Powder
To add a bit glow on my face. Great packaging but unfortunately it's loose so kinda difficult to apply especially when you're in a hurry, but this is my only highlighter and highlighter is a must in my list so I don't really have a choice, don't I? :P

Eyeshadow - Revlon Marble-ous Match Liner/Shadow Duo in Set The Nude
Now I love this pencil shaped eyeshadow even more. So practical and definitely the right color. Dark brown on one side for all over lids and shimmery light pink on the other side, perfect to highlight my brow bone and add a little shimmer on my cupid's bow. Unfortunately this one is limited edition.

Eyelash Curler - Talika
Turns out, I never really use it.

Eyeliner - MUFE Aqua Eyes
I took this with me because, so far, this is my best eyeliner ever. Nothing can beat it... until I walk around, almost all day, under Rome sun. God, it was 41 degrees and that's when my Aqua Eyes, for the first time, smudge! But it'll be years before I walk around under Rome sun again, so until now this is still my best eyeliner!

Blush - NARS in Outlaw and Super Orgasm
Powder blush is the easiest type of blush to carry around while traveling. I brought my two best blushes with me, Outlaw and Super Orgasm. Both colors look so natural on my cheeks. Even though in the end I put on my Super Orgasm more often.

Lipstick - Revlon Super Lustrous in Almost Nude and The Body Shop
Just like my eyelash curler, I don't really use these things.

Miscellaneous
MAC brushes
I thought I'm gonna need my stippling brush and my 190 to apply my foundation and my concealer but I ended up using my fingers more often.

Compact mirror
For touch up when you have no mirror anywhere near you

Cotton buds
This is a must! Helps me fix my eyeliner or sometimes, when I feel like wearing it, my lipstick.

Pencil sharpener
Well, I got my pencil liner so sharpener is of course a must.

and the result...
